An international non-governmental organization (INGO) is currently looking for an individual to fill the position of an Accountant for its Jordan Office; therefore, please let me know if you have any qualified candidate who can fill this position taking into account that the successful candidate will be receiving a monthly gross salary between 400 – 450 JOD, a monthly communication allowance (20 JOD), health insurance coverage and finally he/she will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager.

 

Below are the Scope of Work and required minimum qualifications:

 

·         Scope of Work:

1.      Maintain the filing system for the Finance Department.

2.      Maintain the appropriate backup (translations, dates, stamps, etc.) for the payment voucher.

3.      Prepare the monthly finance scanned copy.

4.      Assist in the payments’ process.

5.      Assist in reviewing sub-grants related to the submitted Monthly Report along with having all the adequate backups.

6.      Responsible for entering data to the Accounting System (ACCPAC) under the direct supervision of the Finance Manager.

7.      Conduct the daily cash counts and prepare the daily cash reports as well as other kinds of reconciliations.

8.      Maintain the Cash Transaction Journal.

9.      Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

 

·         Minimum Qualifications:

 

1.      Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

2.      At least 1-2 years of experience in accounting field or any other related fields.

3.      Excellent command of Microsoft Office Applications particularly Microsoft Excel.

4.      Very good command of written and spoken Arabic and English Languages.

5.      Good knowledge of ACCPAC Accounting System or any other accounting software.

 

Furthermore, please note the all employment contracts, consultancy and service agreements of that INGO are fixed-term (limited); therefore, all contracts and agreements will be renewed annually upon receiving the Donors’ approval.
