Friends: Old and New

New friends are fine for sunny days,

But this I've found most true:

Old friends are best to have around

When skies are gray or blue.

Old friends with whom we've share life's joys,

Its laughter, and its tears

Who know our faults and still have been

True-Blue down theough the years.

New Friends are good to cultivate,

For we should keep in mind

New friends will someday be old friends,

Those extra-special kind!
